If anyone’s more out-of-touch than I am, you might not have seen this yet.
Trailer launched with the Transformers premiere. That’s not the movie title. It’s codenamed “cloverfield.” There’s a great deal of speculation.
Seems like a monster flick taken by an alternate perspective, but others aren’t certain. Is that roar’ a monster or just a skyscraper’s structural groaning resonating through the city after a quake. Other… events… seem to make it clear that it IS a monster flick, though one with a different enough perspective that it warrants further attention (for me, at least).

Angel turned me on to this a week or so ago when she went to see the Transformers (which she said was teh awsum, by the way).
The whole thing is supposed to be in the handycam as-it-happens perspective. I guess it’s been long enough since “The Blair Witch Project” that the format seems fresh again. (Maybe it’s been long enough for me to admit that I actually still like that movie?)
It’s done by JJ Abrams of Lost fame (infamy?), so how much you wanna bet we go through the entire film without ever finding out what the creature looks like?

Just came back from the Transformers and wanted to let you know there isn’t much cooler than kung-fu fighting transforming robots from outer space….
…Angel says I can probably wait to see Harry Potter until it goes to the Westwood, so let me know if you guys are going as a group.
